About Us
Sheila, Stewart and Kathy will be
happy to welcome you to The Pines as part of a family style business
interest. Our aim is for you to enjoy what this special environment has
to offer.
Sheila, the owner of “Beech House” as we call it, spends many months
away overseas and has first hand experience of what accommodation can
offer all over the world. Beech House is not intended to be a commercial
entity, but a homely place for rest, relaxation and fun…. Or more
particularly whatever You want it to be! “I want to offer something for
Kiwis, by Kiwis with a chance to experience my patch of paradise.”
Stewart, “The Fixer”, but more probably the character of the Bay, - is
the engine that keeps everything going. His variety of skill from
building to mechanics, chef to barman, sailor to fisherman ensure that
The Pines is a functional and comfortable place to be. Stewart is
normally the meet and greet man.
Kathy has a wealth of experience in the hospitality business in UK and
NZ. If Stewart is the engine then Kathy is the spark that keeps it
firing, ensuring The Pines is always a home away from home. Kathy enjoys
a quiet, but busy retirement while adding the homely domesticity to
everything we do.
We try to preserve and maintain the ecological environment, while making
constructive use of what nature has to offer. We hope you have the
chance to “escape” for a while with us and we will ensure your escape
will be pleasant and comfortable while at our place. |

This two bedroom house has been equipped for sleeping flexibility
intended to maximize space for your requirements. One bedroom
hosts a queen size double bed with space to move in a couch if
required. The second bedroom hosts a double bed with two upper
level single bunks. A double fold-down sleeper couch sits under a
bunk for daytime comfort. The lounge includes a further two double
sleeper couches if required. Therefore recommended living
accommodates maximum 8 pers, but can be extended to 12 if numbers
are essential. The house provides spacious accommodation for 6. |
